The objectives of SIA are:

 -       To  provide a social and cultural forum to integrate and celebrate

          multiculturalism and social  harmony in Swindon.

-       To provide a range of community services which would

                include funding and delivery of specific festivals in

                local neighbourhoods, organising and running activities

                and services that improve the quality of people’s lives

                and celebrate the diversity of local Indian and Asian

                communities (without any prejudice/discrimination on

                religious or any other grounds).

-       To encourage and support families and extended families

                to participate in sporting activities on a regular basis

                to encourage them to have healthy lives and enhance their

                quality of life.

-       To work with Swindon Borough Council in its objectives

                 to achieve harmony in ethnic diversity.

Membership :


Membership shall be open to all members of the community

 who have keen interest in Indian and Asian culture. Committee

 shall approve each membership request individually before formally

 registering as new members. There will be a membership fee, the 

 amount will be decided annually at AGM.
